Hey Guys/Gals
Had a few gigs recently and played on some LED Walls and with a decent HD projector. I noticed on the first night that my blacks weren't black - more greyish and my whites were fine. We had a few similar laptops, 1 the same model as mine. 1 older one and 2 newer ones. When they were being used they all looked fine, black, blacks & white, whites. I tried going through different scan convertors and different cables and straight into the source by passing the mixer. I also tried different DVI adaptors, all legit apple ones. Still no avail and looking the same. In the end to overcome this i had to put my opacity either from modul8 or the mixer to around 75% - I also haven't changed any display settings on system preferences. Anyone else had anything similar. I still have Apple care and will pop to the store but was curious if this has happened to anyone else and what it was? Cheers Liam |

I had this a while back, Have you tried looking at the what your display profile settings are under display preferences (Color tab)? I tend to have a list of different profiles build up from connecting to various different outputs. Maybe try calibrating a new one?

yup, its almost certainly the gamma.
this can also be adjusted at the screen end.. which is probably where the problem is. |

Cool, thanks for the replies.
Yeah i didnt think about the colour profiles. I dont beleive i have changed anything but i will check. When its contected to my external monitor (which is what i normally work on.) it looks no different it was just those gigs. Might take a couple of days to test though. Cheers again. |
