Hello,
I've been working for a while as vj in a band but I run into the following problem. We play live always with an Akai DR-8 8-track hard disk recorder for backing tracks and a macbook with Arkaos Grand VJ + an Edirol PCR 300 midi interface for video projection. The problem is that I have to start the video and audio separately because they are not synchronized with each other. Now I would like the audio from my harddisk Recorder synchronize with Arkaos via the midi interface. Actually I only want a start / stop feature where the audio and video simultaneously starts and stops. At this time I start the video through my Edirol but I would like my hard drive then also start simultaneously. I've tried different midi connections/settings but I can't figure it out. My question is: Has anyone experience with it? Is it possible to use this setup to work? If so how do I make MIDI settings Thank you, |

I dont have any experience with either 8 track recorder or arkaos, however just having a quick look at the 8-track i can see you get 'smpte synchronisation' so you could in thoery just Resolume.
Connect your midi controller to Resolume and then have the 8-track recorder synched to Resolume. might be a good solution. www.resolume.com/download |
