Default Speaker, fader, eq and rotary knobs animations

Hi!

Normally I like to create all content myself, but for my next job I find myself to be running out of time. I got contacted by a client who wants me to build a small city (2-3m tall buildings) where there are going to be projected speakers, faders, rotary knobs etc. Its a well paid job with a budget for about 4000 pounds, but all equipment, backdrops etc needs to be provided by us.

Basically, does anyone have any idea where to find such animations? I tried searching, but cant find exactly what I want. If somebody is willing to create it for me, I am willing to pay for it.

They want it to be similiar to this:

Suggestion. It's not very professional to include information about budgets on forums. £4000 might be a good budget or it might be a fraction of what you need, it all depends on the brief. If that is supposed to include construction of physical sets and custom animation projection mapped on the sets then it is nowhere near enough money to begin to do a good job of it.

Suggestion 2. work out how much you can afford to spend on animation. Then try and find some good local animators to work with.

Good animation is expensive, expect to pay at least £300 per day for animators time, (this is bottom end pricing for arts type projects, commercial TV projects should be nearer £1000 / day)

If you're looking for individual elements then I think I have most to hand or can quickly make them. If you're looking for someone to build your show to a 3d model 1. I probably don't have the time I'm afraid and 2. You need a bigger budget Get in touch through my email/web site if you think I can be of help. If you search for decent AE Project files (The EQ) You'll find taking on things like this much easier.

I have a very skilled 3d guy that is relatively cheep for his skill set, but i think you could get pretty far just using jpegs for this one, and do some movement in the software with an audio input, maybe mix it up with a few equalisers, (there are def some on vjloops or resolume).

If i was you i would do the complete budget down to the amount and price of screws accounting for inflation . Then i would build a scaled model of it, so i could figure out where to place the projektors, this will also give you an idear on how the content works, then go back and refine the budget, and what ever is left is what you can use on content, snow goggles and a ninja costume

Good luck, its an interesting projekt very arty and a good way to get to a new client base imo.

Thanks alot Steve, sent you a mail through your site :-)

And thanks for the input Anders, the snow googles and ninja costumes are already in the budget haha :-)

Sleepytom, thanks for your input as well. One thing I wonder though: why is it not considered professional to include budget on forums? Just so I know. I know its not a sea of money, but at least I have something to go for, a budget. Most promoters I work with, wants a complete video performance with rigup, equipment etc for less than it costs to rent projectors alone. But eventually, we figure something out.

You're looking for a specific concept, to create an analogy between a city and a mixer, that can't be found in a library. You can download a model of a mixer in turbosquid, but then to animate it is a chaos, the most of these models are not made to be animated, they have errors, 5-side faces, problems with textures, etc.

4000 is a lot of money!. I my company we can do the job for less than 300 € and you only pay at the end with the job done, and if you don't like it you don't pay for it. Please contact me through mail (info@bluelk.co.uk) or skype (alejandro_bluelk) to discuss the project, establish a good price and develop a high quality concept for you.

Best regards,
