Default Mapping cubes idea, need some feedback

Hi guys I'm a newbie here, I've been DJ'n for about 2 years now, and wanted to get into Vj'n I've done most of the course on AV:IN and Love everything about it. I just haven't got the extra cash atm to buy and Software and hardware, but On the plus side I get to play gigs with another Local VJ... Anyway, I've come up with a little design, which can be manipulated to create and cuboid shape you require...

Feedback would be most welcome:

I actually have the Amon Tobin Boxset. my idea was to try and create a product which could be easier to fit inside smaller clubs, behind bars or in the Dj Booth, with can be contructed into and cuboid shape.

I think I'll be much better off creating a prototype and getting people to try it out, to get some feedback....

i like the idea but im not sure how practical it is.

unless you can get the joins spot on and totaly flush, then they are going to stick out and potentialy ruin the 3d illusion. seams down your projection = nasty.

its probably cheaper, easier and lighter to use foamex, a bit of batten and some double sided tape.
