Hello to all.
I have a friend who is playing live music with Ableton Live. We will put on stage a screen ans its VP, and a structure holding lights. >>I want to synchronise some video segment and lights with his music. All I know is that some midi signal comes out of the musician computer. -first, is it possible ? -what software do I need ? -any hardware necessary ? -well...how does the all things work ? Have a look at VenueMagic, the DMX+AV version if you require MIDI and video. To program and control lights, you'll need to add their USB-DMX dongle unless you have a compatible USB-DMX controller like the Enttec. Their site has video tutorials on programming various lights/sequences, etc. Timeline-based, but also assignable to virtual buttons or sliders provided by the program. The VJ software add-on is free.
