VanCryst VE600AL DVI Extenders via Cat5 not working!

I bought three pairs of these extenders, but can't have them working. Any idea about the reason? All help is more than welcome!

do you have power supplies for the senders and receivers?
what distance are you sending?
have you set the EDID?

start off with a properly manufactured very short cable joining them. Make sure you use the correct type of cat5e cable as explained on their website http://www.aten.com/products/product...del_no=2L-2801
