Default hide DVD player "pause"/"play" from projection?

Newbie here.

My band is going to start projecting video during our shows. Since all the drums are electronic, I was planning on editing all the video in sync with the drums, and burning this drums/video mix to DVD. Then running the audio from the DVD to the mixer, and the video to the projector.
My problem is, if we need to tune up or taunt the audience between songs, and hit "pause", I don't want the blue flashing "pause" icon up on the screen. I think it'll look quite dumb.
Do they make a DVD player that allows you to turn off this info? My home one does not.

Any help would be appreciated

Default osd off..

iep.. that's called the OSD, only some dvd players have this function :: hide OSD,
but.. if u'r using electronic sequencing u can try use the midi signal from the drums computer or machinery and use it to trigger clips on almost any softW, this way u'll have everything tightly synched, plus u won?t have to burn dvd's everytime u change a thing... and IMHO u'll be more professional.

hope it helped u,

Yeah its Pioneer DVD players that you can turn OSD off. We brought 5 Pioneer DV-466 Models a couple of years back for that reason, of the 6 they're all still rocking, one has a busted RCA but it can be fixed easy enough.

Pioneer DVD players are good, but you may not want to have the image stuck on screen whilst you "taunt".

You may want to look into a video "fader" (cheap) or "mixer" (expensive).

These will allow you to fade to black / colour / another image, then press pause, and fade back in when you've finished tauntung and unpaused.

This type of search might proffit you:

and Alan is right a cheap way to hide OSD's is a ccheap video fader, switcher.. wich can also allow u to color correct if u need:: check ebay!

ALL pioneer players have the ability to turn off OSD

some of the other brands have this feature on some of their players but pioneer is the only brand to have turnoffable OSD accross the range.
