Okay, just finished running a few tests. I've found that outputing at the same resolution as processing looks the best at 320X240. I've had really good results with the indio codec using virtualdub.
I really can't thank anyone enough. Makes me thankful for the internet. Without places like this I would have spent 100's of hours learning what you all have shared. Thanks. I'm new to vjing. I'm part of an instamental band Patient Zero and due to the lack of a lead singer I'm learning to fill that void with a live vj show. I've never seen another vj preform yet I already feel like I'm becoming part a new wave of entertainment. Please check out the band and picture a vj show. Should blow the brains out of the stale So.Cal music scene. A link to our new ep- http://www.admittingpatientzero.com/inonthesecret.php Any suggestions/ video ideas will be apreciated. I've been using a lot of perlinger movies to create scenes while overlaying avs patterns. |

Good Luck!--or... Spit on your shoes! (or whatever rockstars say these days.) :P |

while it increases the technical hassles considerably, popping a live cam or two on the band might be coolio...but then you'll need a video mixer/tripod/etc.
unless you fanagled something going into a vid-in on your computer. |

remember that every time you change resolutions or re-encode the image it will soften, even going from a higher resolution to a smaller one. Try to have as few steps in the pipe as possible for the sharpest images.
