Well I have been in the game for 5 years, so I have a LOT of clips, not so say I don't have my favs that you will see almost every show, but they are mixed in different ways, with different stuff everytime...... thats just 2 laptops (or 1 laptop and 1 premix VCD) running SVi (all players/layers and FX), 1 MX1 and a CVI.... nothing that special

1. as a vj do you like to create/find all or most of your samples
yes, but have a large co-operative of artists, video activists and mates sourcing stuff as well as making/stealing clips from movies/tv etc 2. do you think the possibility of having tailor made loops for yourself is a good idea not really...unless they are just for our co-operative or a particularly powerful clip....we'll all look the same then wont we? 3. and would you be prepared to pay for this? yes if it was the dogs bollox, had good socio-politico effect and was timeless  mondo

The only time I would find myself paying for content is where I could spend days on end downloading clip after clip and sifting through / converting / etc, or just pay a few dollars and buy 700mb of content that I can look through and pick what I want out. I really enjoy making my own stuff (computer made flash animations with my own text, custom stuff for parties maybe DJ names, or random camcorder footage of local stuff from around the city) but I can't fill an entire show with my own content, the meat is all found online.
