I've been using a combination of Madmapper (with the Kinect plugin) and Resolume (sending an image into Madmapper via Syphon) to map images onto peoples bodies, but I'm now looking to do this without a reliance on Madmapper.
Has anyone here successfully used Synapse with Quartz and the Syphon server to send the video feed into Resolume? I find the Syphon help videos extremely confusing and have been unsuccessful in getting this going. I will probably get there eventually, but I'm in a rush and thought someone here might have already done this? If so can someone please outline how they got this working. If I get it going myself I'll post back here with the workflow. At this point I'd be happy even if I could just send the Kinect depth image from Synapse into Resolume (via Quartz) but I find the whole Client / Server Syphon stuff bloody confusing. Any help mucho appreciato. Cheers guys. |

I have not tested with Resolume yet but from memory:
Do you have Synapse running it qtz already? If so it's just a matter of adding a Syphon server on the top level, e.g. Clear #1, sprite #2 Syphon server #3- name it and choose GL scene. What version of Resolume are you using? The latest release has 'native' Syphon support. See here from 1:50 https://vimeo.com/43611174 |

You can just use quartz composer patches in resolume, so you don't need extra syphon.
