an all-too-common occurence. if it's a good night, i'll still go (the overwhelming majority of my gigs have been non-paid), and of course the VJ role is peripheral, but when all the dj's get paid for their 1-hour sets and i'm there all night for free, well, sometimes you're left wondering...
