Default Projector spec for small/medium sized club venues

Hi everyone,

Have recently been doing a bit of projection mapping and am now wanting to start taking a live music/projection mapping set out into some local venues.

If I'm dealing with venues with pretty low ambient light what is the minimum Lumens I should look for in a projector?

Also any views on DLP vs LCD?

Would this kind of thing be up to the job or is it underpowered?

Thanks in advance

There are quite a few threads already on this subject, i would start to look through these and get an idea of what's what.

Thanks for the replies. Possibly not on the HD front but thought it might be useful to get something with higher resolution in case I might need it in the future. Can probably scale that back a bit then.

Thanks
