Default $1000 PC for VJ'ing and video editing

Hello, I've compiled a shopping cart for building my own PC for the above purposes (and some general design work). Any input would be appreciated.

Core i5 2500k
MSI Radeon HD 7770 1GB
ASRock Z68 PRO3 GEN3 motherboard
16GB Kingston RAM
Seasonic M12II 620W Bronze
WD Caviar Black 7200RPM 1TB
Cooler Master Hyper 212+

I am wondering if there will be a bottleneck in the HDD while opening videos, and if it will be worth it to add a 128GB Samsung SSD for $100.

why not just get a laptop?

the machine you've spec'd isn't very powerful, at least not to warrant the size of a desktop.

If you can find a more powerful laptop for the same price I'm all ears but otherwise I like being able to choose my own components for my own purposes, and not throw away the entire thing when it gets old. I can always expand and upgrade when I get more money.

Also wondering if upgrading to an i7-2600k is worth it instead of adding an SSD...
