12 Ai Servers in Total. - 4 Infinity servers and 8 of CT's own servers with full spec dongles.
4 Sapphire Media Controllers.

To control the Audience Pixels (the worlds biggest ever led screen at 1km circumference) we used just 1 Ai server and 1 backup, individually mapping 70,500 paddles (1 for each audience member) via DVI into a Barco processor. Each paddle had 9 pixels 3 x 3. Our customer was TAIT technologies in Belgium, they designed and installed the audience pixels.

The content was rendered at over 10k wide by 360 high at 50 frames per second using the AiM codec. We tiled the super wide image into one 2560 x 1440 canvas.

The other Ai servers were used to control the large IMAG and Graphics LED screens around the stadium.

The house projection was done by Catalyst because when we got into the project a lot of work had already been done by the client on that part of the show with Catalyst.

the screen set up was vile - everything split in the middle at 90° and it took weeks to reconfigure all the content for this one show.

currently got another month to go of a 15 month world tour..

Just because I had an idea and spoke to someone about it does not mean that it was my idea which they used
The technology was just ripe enough to implement it. It did look great and overall I think the show was a success.
Some commentators have spoken about the whitewashing of history which is not surprising to me, but hey it's a celebration we don't want to be reminded of empire and slavery etc. Better to whitewash history than to look at our role in the current geopolitical bullshit.

When all is said and done I think most people will see that the Olympics is a fraud. Taking money away from essential social services to fill the pokets of big construction businesses and 'cleansing' an area of London which was a small business and creative hub.

This city is like a ghost town right now. I have never seen it so quiet. The economy is suffering.

Yes London is like a ghost town, the roads are really empty. But it didn't stop a cyclist being killed by a left turning Olympic media bus http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/oly...mpics-bus.html

I actually enjoyed going to central london for the first time in ages this week. Don't moan about the lack of people, take advantage of it and enjoy a stroll round the sites without a gazillion idiots in the way.

The economy was fucked by the 'wanking bankers' not the games. Don't get confused.
