Default Urgent analogue problem

URGENT ANALOGUE PROBLEM

currently working on a theatre show, we have a completely analogue set up with 16 live feed cameras we need to out put this to a 16:9 output without pushing it through a digital feed as we can't have any delay on the live feeds. Any ideas? we are using two V4's and V8's to mix the live feeds at the moment and have to out put to two projectors.

i am not really sure here but if they chain it and output from one of the v8`s, they end up missing 3 inputs so the solution would be another v4 ??

Regardless of how you have all your mixers connected together, if all of your video sources are 16:9 content in 4:3 fields (anamorphic), they will mix just the same as though everything was 4:3. If your beamers can redisplay the 4:3 frames stretched back out to the 16:9 shape, I think you have your answer. Then again, maybe you haven't made the question clear.

Is the problem that the V-4 and V-8 convert to digital (which you cannot abide by)?

V-4

Quote:
Professional Video Quality
The input video sources are processed completely in the digital domain, and give professional video quality (13.5MHz, 8-bit, 4:2:2, DV quality). Ideal for use on large screens, and because the V-4 internal processing is digital there is no quality loss.

V-8

Quote:
DV quality video outputs with full digital processing
The internal processing of the V-8 is 4:2:2 full-frame digital. More than 500 lines of video resolution ensure very high image quality after digital processing and mixing.

use a matrix, you'll get delays going from mixer to mixer
I regularly have 8 cameras going into a 4 input mixer..

I wire it cameras / matrix /4 monitors / 4 inputs.
I can then select any camera I want, preview it then cut to it..
saves having 8 monitors..
