Hey a friend bough me a sony Cx12 in japan,,, i read all the reviews in the world before buing it... and i found a tiny problem that i didt read on the reviews...
the camera menus are in japanese!, and it cant be changed. There is no language settings... only i can chose the timezone ( my japanese friend already check this for me ) i will need to wait for a firmware upgrade or learn japanese ? anyway the camera itself its very nice, and he teach me all the basic funcions it take great pictures,,, latter i will upload videos and pictures, but i woul like to solve the problem of the menus firts check this |

Sony are the only major manufacturer whose products in Japan are sold without multilingual menus. Did an event for them last year and got an earful from them for using a Nikon to record images (and not a Sony alpha); give their marketing manager a mouthful and told her that when they sell models with English manuals, I'll consider buying one. She did not even know about that. Arrogant company; siloed, uncooperative divisions, no wonder they are declining rapidly...
Don't expect any firmware upgrade. Just buy/ obtain an English manual and work from there.
