I managed to fix a couple of my little DLP projectors after taking them to the black rock desert for Burning Man last summer. there not that difficult to figure out how they work. IS your Machine DLP or LCD? have you looked on Ebay for a simmilar machine that might not be in working condition? you can try and make one good projector with the two broken ones? plus you've got a spare machine for parts.

It's a DLP machine. The environment I have put them in can't be as harsh as Burning Man but is bad enough. I like the models that I'm using and think some parts machines would be a great idea.

Just to follow up. I got a quote from Projectordoctors.com. Just under $1000 for parts, labor and shipping! Fuck that. I just received a used replacement of the same model from Ebay for $430. Has almost all the bulb life left. Glad to have 2 machines again!
