is there some workaround to make a unibody mac with displayport project 2400x600 through the analog triplehead2go? Will the switchresX enable me to do this? The reason I want to do it, is that 800x600 is my projectors native resolution.

as I already stated a unibody MBP will give you a MAX resolution of 2400 x 600 from an analogue triplehead2go. connect your TH2G via a mini display port > VGA adapter, and it's all good. no need for switchresX. it will work fine.

Can I please ask your advice (or anyone else out there...)? What do you mean by 'scale up the projector'? If my content is all 640 x 480 res (using Livid's Cell DNA multiscreen output) and the native resolution of my 3 projectors is 1280 x 1024, assuming the maximum res output with TH2Go (digital) I can get is 2400 x 600 is it better to go for 1920 x 480? Will also give SwitchResX a go to see whether I can mange to get 3840 x 1024.... * MJ made a post about using a Matrox triple head 2 go with a minidisplay port macbook for an opera and said "some how it wouldnt send out the 3072x768 res only 2400x600 and 3840x1024. even with switchresX it wont work ... also i tried with the expensive minidisplay to dualdvi plug no luck" Wonder how he managed to get 3840 x 1024 - or maybe that was a mistake?
