That is VJs foult
There are these looser VJs, usually people without any talent therefore they do it for free to appear in the flyer and be a show off and pick up a girlfriend, usually a girl with nothing in her brain.
In my city I had one like that, he is called VJ CEX, the worst "VJ" ever but he cut off everyone because he does his job basically for free and the stupid promoters felt into it. The result: parties started to look so cheap that no brand wanted to sponsor them and now the promoters and the cheap "VJ" have no work. This looser is always telling "I work with the biggest collective in the country" yeah right, the collective has been reduced to work in a bar for 3 years now because no one is going to sponsor them anymore in a big party for the same reasons. When ever you see a VJ who is offering his work for free talk to him, if he continues... squish it and make his life a living hell because he will make yours and every one else to go out of business. These are people who are competitive by offering a lower rate but not a better quality show, these kind of people eat the industry inside out. And as promoters are usually greedy they fall in to it.

^ its not just to vj its also the promoter .
its not hard to formulate the idea quality attracts quality . its kind of out of your hands when the promoter wants to skip that part : and since they make the final choice . its their result : the vj in your story obviously doesnt sound like he should charge anyway so i would expect that service is free ; if you want a good night pay for the quality. if you dont well dont expect much (some exemptions)

Va a venir un Dj superfamoso y esto te puede traer más trabajo. Si me gusta lo que haces, claro. VJ : Pero si tu has visto ya lo que hago. De hecho, podría enviarte un link a mi página web y algunas de mis tarifas … Promotor: Venga … ¡Ésta es una oportunidad única en la vida! Te pagaré el doble de tu tarifa la próxima vez que monte una fiesta como esta, tan solo tienes que trabajar durante 8 horas seguidas gratis! VJ : Me cago en todo lo que se menea, maldito avaricioso porculero. Bueno vale, ¿tienes un proyector? Promotor : NO. De hecho, ya que lo mencionas, voy a necesitar que traigas 2 proyectores y algunas pantallas y que vengas 4 horas antes de la fiesta para montar todo el equipo. VJ : Hijo de puta, por lo menos tendrás una mesa de mezcla de video que pueda usar, ¿no? Promotor: NO. Tenemos unos platos para el Dj. VJ :Claro. Y seguro que no haces que el Dj se traiga su propia mesa de mezclas, ¿verdad? Promotor: Jajaja … pero que cachondo eres…. VJ : Bueno, a ver, pedazo de truchón…¿dónde podré poner todo mi carísimo equipo en tu discoteca? Promotor: Pues tenemos unas cajas de cerveza que podemos apilar cerca de los servicios en un rincón bien oscuro, donde no pueda verte nadie y la gente se tropiece continuamente con tu equipo y lo dañe gravemente. VJ: ¡Pedazo de mierda seca pinchada en un palo! Promotor: Además, necesito que me hagas unas animaciones para la fiesta . Tengo este flyer que puedes escanear en tu casa. VJ : Podrías pagarme las animaciones por lo menos, ¿no? Promotor: Pero si solo necesito el logo en la pantalla. Eso es fácil para ti. Seguro que lo haces en cero coma! VJ : ¡Este flyer que me has dado es tan pequeño que no se va a ver una mierda en la pantalla! Promotor: Te puedo conseguir UNA bebida gratis. Es justo, ¿no? VJ :¿Cuánto dinero cuesta la entrada a la discoteca? Promotor: 20€, pero yo no gano dinero con esto… VJ : Asi que sólo necesitas que aparezcan 10 personas en tu superdiscoteca para poder pagarme 200 euros. Promotor: Mira, esto es muy sencillo. Necesitas que la gente empiece a conocerte y forjarte una reputación y te estoy dando la oportunidad que siempre has querido. VJ : A ver si te entra esto en la cabeza, no voy a trabajar gratuitamente durante 12 horas, llevar mi equipo extra caro y hacer animaciones para tu fiesta. ¡Y no se hable más! Promotor: Pero hombre, no seas asi … le hablare a todos los otros promotores sobre ti, y tendrás trabajo cada fin de semana gracias a esto! VJ :¿Podrías decirme dónde está la discoteca? Promotor: Esta a tomar saco, donde cristo perdió el gorro, necesitarás tomar 2 trenes para llegar hasta allá. VJ : ¡Que te den por culo, cabrón!
