Got it launched on my old G4/500! Not to talk, that the System is running from an extern drive via firewire. So strange things are going on. ;-)

Right. I've had a brief play and can agree it's damn fast.
My system is MacBookPro3,1. Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz, 2 GB. Now you're gonna have to excuse the n00b questions I don't have much experience with modular based stuff. Eager to learn thou. How do I add the Import/Media Bin? It won't drag from the browser, nor can right click it. This is prob something proper simple... Or do I need to add something before I can add this? I'm trying to setup a basic VJ app with it. Which would consist of a media bin, 2 channels, somekind of basic crossfader between them etc... :idiot: edit: I've found the videomixer one so having a look around...

oh. Small thing.
In Menu:Edit you have Ctrl+Z etc... as Undo and such when it's actually Apple+Z.

works very smooth on a mbp dual 2.5 4 gig ram..
this is a really nice app. the ability to mix 3ds models with 2d graphics and loops is very exciting, and i hope there are going to be provisions for z-plane parameters for graphics and loops. awesome, immediately went to the 3dsImport Patch good simple explanation panel helps greatly with getting up and running there are many brilliant architects or interior designers who work exclusively in 3d Studio Max .. so this will surely yield a great amount of options for mixing large structural .3ds models realtime. question 1: rather than rotating the 3d object, is it possible to create cyclical camera moves, so the objects stay in place, and the camera flys through, even through internal rooms of 3d architectural models? question 2: what exactly does the Field Of View control actually change.. i detected no difference when adjusting the values. question 3: are there any plans to include a user-definable shallow Depth Of Field setting, for a narrow field of focus? ![]() quick extra note: the dials on the speed and phase rotaries do not change, even when seemingly affecting values.. many thanks for porting this important app to the mac platform. Looking at my old posts I had another go with it.
Now on MBP 2.5ghz 512meg GeForce 8600M GT with SSD drive I get very high CPU use when mixing of two PhotoJPG 1 sec long movies 640x480 size. The out put is 320x240 probably. It is upside down also. Maybe I try it in another few years. |
