1 MBP and 1 old Dell lappy running MDT for titles and logos. Works great with video mixer and allows me to add content during a show if I want to add something at the spur of the moment.

Haven't you imprinted your gear yet according to the Mecha dictates. After that, you'll have more than friends. your gear will love you forever. Just remember you cannot throw it away. If there is a problem, it must be sent back to Mecha for destruction.

I just happen to have a 1 year old Dell. I will take yer advice & stop lusting after old Macs & wait for some other must have gear.
