Default Africa Visuals Needed

My latest gigs have been for afrobeat/house events. I have run out of new footage! and most of my videos are very low quality. If anybody has some Africa-themed videos I would gladly appreciate it! I am also willing to trade. Thank you.

I'm sure there is some here...
You will just have to go thru all the samps there.
Also archive.org, or vjvault.com surely will have some

check your local afroshops. beeing married with a nigerian for a while i had to spend hours and hours watchin incredible strange movies....nollywood and stuff.and they all took it from the local afroshops...
Qualitywise its mostly crap, washout vhs to vcds. I would go for the older stuff, even vhs, maybe magic/spells etc, trying to focus on outdoor scenes/subjects, otherwise it looks very often like its mainly shooted in the same appartements with the same (mostly yellow) mercedes...(-:
There are also westafrican dance VCDs with a lot of booty (girls on the beach doing booty dancin, but not naked) which may offend your viewers...

cheers,
Michael

yeah if you want odd / unique VJ stuff then going into the little weird internet cafe / western union shops that various ethnic populations have and buying VCDs / VHS tapes is the best way to get it. I've got some excellent Thai scifi and horror films which have some really weird scenes in them that i got from little stange shops in london (places that sell hair products, VCDs, stuff in tins which might be food and always seem to have 8 people hanging out there chatting) I'm guessing you can get some equally odd stuff from most nations via similar shops if your lucky enough to live in a big city which is multicultural.

Though it can be quite hard to convince people you actually really want to buy films in a language you don't speak, set in places you have no connection with. I remember having an amusing time in a Serbian department store trying to get them to sell me local films, they kept saying no no no and pointing at their selection of latest hollywood releases on divx cds, eventually i managed to get a great film on VHS which seems to be mainly about getting drunk on trains!

one giant leap has some good usable vj style clips that are african themed/linked if you can be bothered to rip them
