In vegas the file opens both video and audio but playback stutters and I get a lot of green square artefacts.

when its brought into ppro cs3 it just imports as an audio file,

Im really stuck and dont know how to get them to work well with my nle.

i want to get them into avi. could a possible work around be mp4 to avi convertor or any other ways. i want seamless playback which i get when i independently play the video files.

Hope you can help

Thanks
Why not rip your media to .MPEG format? Get yourself a copy of something like DVD 43 and some DVD authoring software (they provide a list of compatible software) and then copy away. Just a suggestion.

I'll upload them all for you to check.
Both the QT and the AVI Photo/Mjpeg encodes look good and comparing them to each other, there isn't
a whole lot of difference that I can see. The Mjpeg has lost a bit of it's color compared to the original.(which of course didn't have alot of color to start with)

The original h264

And the converted Mjpeg

It would be silly to upload the 400 meg QT photo jpeg, but if you have QT pro and have the gumption, take the original h264 clip and export it to PJpeg yourself for comparison..

The sculpture in this clip is from Starr Kempf, and a bit of the Kempf controversy, featuring the artist himself b4 he committed suicide..
