Default Resolume Avenue Compositions Generator

Hy every one i developed a small app to create automaticaly composition files for resolume avenue from a folder of video clips

http://rapidshare.com/files/23526435...0.0.2.rar.html

.-----------------------------------.
--| Composition Creator ChangeLog |--------------------------------------------
`-----------------------------------'

Composition Creator for Resolume Avenue

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1.0.0.0 - 18/05/2009
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
First Version.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1.0.0.1 - 18/05/2009
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Multilingual support.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1.0.0.2 - 20/05/2009
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Autosize clips to composition size.
Removed official Resolume logo as was asked by resolume creators.

Installation:
requires .net framework 3.5 sp1 (if you don't have it the instalation program download's from microsoft site)
At the end of installation ask to install something in c:\windows\system it's the dll to extract information from avi, mov files.

It's easy to use:
1-Select a folder where you have your avi or mov files
2-Write the composition name.
3-Write a small description
4-Choose the size comp
5-Insert the desk's name, columns and layers (if are <10 write 01, 02, 03...)

If the selected folder contains more than columns*layers the program automaticaly will generate desks with the name + 1,2,3,4,5,6... and will leave one open and the rest closed.

If you want the sources ask me and i'll send it.

Hope you like it and sorry for my inglish.
If you want exists in the instalation folder a file called compositioncreator.exe.config is a xml file with the config of the application and if you want in your language translate all whats under
<setting name="sInitialTitle" serializeAs="String">
<value>Compostion Creator</value>
</setting>

great!
a killer feature would be: scale each video you write into the composition such that it fits the compo!
i.e.: if you make a 1024*768 comp, and have some 640*480 files in there, set the scale factor of the clips so that they fill the 1024+768 comp....
this would bring a feature resolume itself does not offer (yet?) and saves your fellow vjs the effort of scaling every single clip in the comp.

im not too sure why it would be needed, but nice one for the effort anyway, im sure someone will find it usefull.

as bilderbuchi said, if it could auto resize, that would be usefull and add a feature Avenue currently doesnt have.

the size issue is really really serious and needs to be addressed in resolume not by an external app.

without the ability to size and position layers and have clips autosize to layer size and position resolume 3 is not really very useful. I really hope that they address this issue soon as it is a deal breaker for me.

yeah i think we all realize that but if Resolume doesn't manage to do it, i'll be happy to use an external app.

as a side note, i think (imHo) avenue would be well served by some kind of plugin system, this would enable useful user-generated code/stuff like this, and would take a load off bart/edwins shoulders. on the other hand, administration effort would doubtlessly be higher.

Has anyone tried this yet? It works for me, but I'm not sure it is doing what Tom is on about..

just tried it quickly. it works, scales my clips to the given res.
only thing, sometimes doubleclicking the composition entry in resolume seems to heavily garble my output (looks like decoding garbage or whatnot). could not reproduce/nail down on a certain behaviour yet. also, this deactivates the output to second screen (don't know if that is an avenue bug)

great work in any case! the quick response to feature requests is awesome! big thumbs up!

btw: install dialogue in spanish/portuguese? very nice ;-)
