$22 (the cost of PixplayerVJ) is half of the money I spent at the bar YESTERDAY!
Wish all software was priced like this. I did email the company asking for a demo version. If no avail there, I'll probally take the plunge and risk my $22 |

you're right, 22$ is very cheap for a software that seems great.
I would have bought it right away if my credit card wasn't full and my bank account empty ;-) I will next month. ;-) by the way, it is great to see many VJ software for the Mac. It seems to me that the mac platform is getting more and more delicious VJ softwares recently. For example, PixelShox, and the new VDMX 3 (which I can't try, but from ppl sayings, it seems very very great). And this one, PixPlayer, seems promising too. |

for $22 i figured what the hell!
very simple clip based app with 9 common effects to choose from. plays fullscreen video on my 1.1GHz laptop at 640x480 nicely. you can overlap 3 clips at a time, with 2 effects. triggering is instant. All-in-all its a very responsive clip based app with limited effects for a great price. check the website, it doesn't do any more or less than what it says. BTW - i got the PC version. |

Although you could use Bomes Midi translator if you have a PC and want to use midi to control this app.

Errrmmm....I bought it and regret even the $22!! The interface looks like its had a touch of gaussian blur, and I'm really struggling to get any clips looking presentable. Why did I buy it? I am looking for a no frills avi app - motion dive would do, but fader still buggy and I'm NOT prepared to shell out cash for buggy apps with no english manual! Flowmotion - looks promising, but the semo has an insultingly short time before the clips are over layed with a milky screen with a logo on it. If I had an hours un-interupted time with it, I might just decide to buy it - or am I missing something?
