Hi lolhold, Could you give me some more information on what you didn't like about the VisualJockey interface? As a newcomer to VJ software, any suggestions on what you didn't like will be invaluable to alter the interface in future version so that you might like at at some stage

Hi Mavrick,
concerning the interfaces of softs I spoke of, these were just first sight impressions (from screenshots or demo trial), regarding only esthetic side, not at all a consideration of the own efficiency of the interface, that is not a real issue though. Im a long time user of Cubase and my eyes may be not be used to anything else, a bit "exotic", many animated buttons and high tone colors, this is stupid considerations I know... And those were not for Visual Jockey in particular, Arkaos seems a bit more friendlier but... Not too futuristic, that is the point.
Thank you Hambone and PilotX for your answers, I think Im gonna try Vjamm and vvv to check the latency point. It's true that I need a very reactive Soft, the faster the better (I have sequences of 1 frame, flash style for epileptics ).

You can check a draft of one of the videos I did with Vegas (Im on PC), this a poor RealVideo quality, sorry, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxtz6stWzAU

Ive just installed VJamm demo, Im a bit confused with MIDI assignments (for channel triggering) but as a first impression it is great. Im gonna compare with Arkaos features and make a decision.
Thanks all
If any of you have tips for MIDI configuration under VJamm that would be great (there's a default trigger patch (I guess this is the right term) I fail in modifying)

The documentation should sort your problem out. Read that first then . RTFM and trying things out yourself (more in depth than a quick fiddle) is the best way to learn, which is important in the vj environment

Hi Asterix,
I visited the link for VJ soft comparisons, very useful.
Today, I tried both Arkaos and VJamm. I must say VJamm fits perfectly to my needs: lowest latency, many assignable parameters and the interface is perfect. Arkaos seems a little bit more limited. I still have difficulties to configure MIDI mapping with VJamm but its just a matter of time, I hope... I guess I have to spend time on the soft Enigma that MAudio supplies w/ the Trigger Finger.
Thanks for your advice
