we have a bollywood (india) themed party this weekend. does any1 have an idea where to get some footage of that kind??? or some india based stuff??????

I don't think you can change a thread title without deleating the whole thread and creating a new one. I wouldn't worry about it. We all know what you meant.

There MUST be an Indian community in or near your town. The Bollywood industry is so big, there is very likely a video rental place that is below your radar. So how do you find it? Maybe try looking up "India" in the YellowPages or business directory of your phonebook? At worst, you could call an Indian restaurant and humbly ask if anyone there knows where a video shop might be that rents Bollywood titles.

Order me a saag ponir while your at it.

My first advice is to try to plan more than a week ahead, that way you have more time to put your content together.

Other than that, I agree with Hollys advice - ask someone from your nearest Indian community.

House music at the moment over here is being fused with a real Indian/Asian feel - for example Punjabi MC - Now when I'm playing what works for me really well are the wedding dances out of the indian movies.

There's a lot of compilation DVD's or Videos that you can get - I suggest a comp starring Rishnik Roshan - he's one of the biggest stars in Bollywood as he's a good dancer (and always has the fittest chicks starring with him..... Check him out with Miss Universe!)

The combination of the choreographed dance moves combined with the incredibly colourful Saris and suits make it real eyecandy.

These can be bought or hired at any Indian convenience store around the world.

One word of warning - the DVD's can be dodgy quality sometimes - they are not DVD quality and are more like VCD - NOT ALL THE TIME....just sometimes.

another thing! i've seen a music video lately with a couple lying on a hotel bed and the guy is watching a bollywood like movie on tv! but i can't remember the band name or music style (i think it was more house/dance)

any1 has an idea?????

if ur in a real bind-- u can probably get a copy of this hollywood film from last year, "the guru" it's a crappy film but has a bunch of faux bollywood shots.... lots of dancing
