Hello. I am a DJ and Blogger and I would like to create youtube videos for my mixes. I would like some advice from people who have experience in VJing.
Instead of using vegas or traditional software for creating videos, I thought I would use a vj program to quickly mix the clips on the fly as the mixes are playing just like DJing, and record the output. Then I might make some edits or just keep it as is and put on youtube. Can anyone recommend what software I should use for this? I would like something that is simple to use and not a steep learning curve. Doesn't really have to be reliable as I will not be doing it live. I was planning on just mixing a few clips together with some transition effects. Maybe some video inside video effects and flip the video, shake, etc... Also I would like to be able to set cue points in the clips so I don't have to render different parts of a video into separate clips. Also, obviously I'm not a professional dj so low cost or free would be great. |

Use VJ apps. Resolume and others that run on windows. Record output and tweak with Vegas.

Yes, that's what I was thinking, but which vj app? There are so many, could someone point me in the right direction? |

I guess I will go with resolume for now. Seems pretty cool with a lot of room to grow, plus so far its the only one i got working lol.
