Default computer typewriting font

Hi, anyone have a plug in or effect, even a good idea or suggestions for being able to replicate the kind of font / typing that a computer makes (like in Terminator or Matrix - i.e. when the cursor is a square)?

** was going to put this in creating content but doesn't seem like anyone has posted in there for while.

Cheers

After Effects

Use the software's Text animation presets - there are tons of them, and at least one is a typewriter effect.

As for the font, the Courrier font is monospace (so all letters and symbols have the exact same width) and is quite typical for these effects. If you want alternatives, do a search for monospace fonts - they really help get the old school type on screen look.

I was hoping to find the specific cursor primarily, the little rectangle that flashes (normally green in sci-fi movies)
