Question throw ratio 0,5 : 1

I'm interrested in using a lcd projector with my performance, but I've got a major problem: The stages i work on are very small. I can't have my projector further away than 5 feet and I like the screen to have a size of about 10 feet.

I don't think mirrors are the answer, because the constuction would be far to big to use. The Nec wt600 could bethe perfect solution , but at the moment it is too expensive.

Is there any other way to achief a throw ratio of 0,5 : 1

Thanks,

Dutchboy

With Eiki projectors its possible to replace the original lens with an additional lens, their throw-distances depends on the type of projector, but I could not find anything shorter than 0,9:1 / f=23,7mm (fixed) or 1,3 - 1,8 : 1 / f=34,4 - 48,2 mm (zoom), and what I've heard they are expensive.

i dont know how scharp your image needs to be, but if you dont want to work with mirror, try to use a add-on fish eye lens for sony dv camera's, 75 euro (raf amsterdam cheepest) because normal wide angle lens from beamer company doesnt do that wide but with a fish eye camera lens you can get super big at very small distance, only problem is that it wont fit easy on your beam, but with some tape or wires it is very possible. i have seen a friend of mine do it and it worked. only the borders of projection will get distorted because of lens.
