This is an open call to all VJ’s worldwide interested in utilizing and exploring the realms of holographic projection.

Do you have what it takes? Are you up for the challenge? Are you the VJ of the year?

Then this is the competition for you.

Randstad in conjunction with Musion Eyeliner presents to you the Randstad Gold VJ Awards 2010.

The finalists will be announced: 15th of September 2010
The winner will be announced: 12th of December at the MAMAs 2010

Now here is where it gets interesting. The finalists will be screened at Randstad Gold, 3rd of October, a worldwide event located in 26 different countries all on the same day to a voting audience of 28,000 people. The guests at the Randstad Gold will be invited to access and internal website in which they can view the material again and cast their vote.

The Winner of the Randstad Gold VJ Award will be announced at the Musion Academy Media Awards Gala 2010 held in London on the 16th of December. The Winner will be presented a trophy and € 3,000.00 in prize money at the worlds legendary Awards Gala for Holographic Projection Art; and of course will be the holder of the Randstad Gold VJ Title.

Applications must consist of:

· Brief introduction of your self (written)
· Approx. 3 minute clip of new or existing original work
· Must be on a black background optimized for the Musion System
· Created for a dance event therefore should be fresh, dynamic and energizing
• no music just visuals, preferably graphics


NB. Material submitted will only be screened via the following protected media for the purpose of the event:

- Musion screen
- Online Ranstad intranet

· The closing date for entries for the Randstad Gold VJ Award is midnight on Tuesday, 31st of August
· Submission format is 1920 x 1080 25fps Prores 422 Quicktime or Uncompressed Quicktime
· Submissions have to be on a black background and need to be optimised for the Musion screen and should be no longer than 3min 20seconds.

Randstad presents you the first ever Award for VJ talents – a prestigious trophy with prize money of £ 2.500,00. This is an open call to VJs worldwide interested in exploring a new technology – the Musion screen and to compete with some of the best artists out there. The winners will be screened in 26 countries on the same day and voted on by up to 26.000 people. The winner of the Randstad Gold VJ Award will be presented at the MAMAs 2010 – the world’s legendary Awards gala for holographic projection art.

Randstad Gold – a worldwide event happening in 26 locations around the world will screen the shortlisted nominees – allowing the 28.000 attendants to vote on the winner.The majority of attendants are in the age of 25 – 28 and 90%, university trained females.

Randstad introduces the Randstad Gold VJ Award After the party guesta will be invited to go to an internal website, look at the material again and vote. The winner will be made know at the Musion Academy Media Award Gala 2010. This special prize will be a trophey and 2.500 GPB.
