Have a read. It may be worth it for those who sometimes publicise what events they're supporting with equipment.....a few posts down in the thread.

I have had a few hires cancelled recently because somebody insists on DVJ1000s instead of X1s. talk about fussy.... |

I've been informed now who is supplying and he's a friend who knew nothing of what had been arranged. The promoters were well aware of the charge had accepted the terms and that Leeds Uni had recieved my invoice. As I said...a professional promoter who will now be paying a lot more for his DVJ's.
Think the only guy insisting on 1000's G is Yoda. |

Just done a couple of gigs doing the visuals for him. Last week in Brum the marquee was full to bursting point for his set (dangerously full)...spent more time keeping my equipment safe instead of doing what I was paid to do.

Absolutely...depends how the individual is using their discs, how their material is recorded etc etc etc.....no doubt about it the 1000 is a better machine.
I've recieved a few calls now Looks like lack of communication between 3 promoters and 2 Uni Events managers and the toilet attendant may be to blame.....goes off to pick up mop for night shift
