midi in/through would be nice. Compares well price-wise with the faderfox though....

looks interesting, but i'd like to know what the build quality is like, i find a lot of the M-Audio kit can be quite flimsy.

looks alright, if a bit limited by design. i've never heard too many complaints about m-audio build quality, and you'd expect it to be reasonable for a unit that traditionally would take a bit of a beating (a flimsy crossfader is never gonna last very long).

good price too, but i like my rotaries to be endless.

hmmm certainly a big improvement on the original x-session. Much more like a dj console now.
I'd still go for the trigger finger but this is a nice alternative...

i've loved the x-session (for djing with traktor and switching for use with resolume or visualjockey), but there aren't any (well only 10) bloody buttons on it, and that new one looks like it's got less!
i like the look of this

Did you check out this one?

http://www.thomann.de/de/behringer_bcd_2000.htm

A bit more expensive, but looks less plastic.

Behringer is the king of plastic, solid they are not.

The Faderfox LV1 would of been close to perfect for me but unfortunately it has been replaced, I want at least 3 vertical faders for layers in resolume and a cross fader for Ableton - small too... my BCF2000 is gigantic.
