hi again
i?m still searching for the right software and maybe some of you can help me out. let me explain: i am first of all a musician and i want to get into vjing to enhance my live sets, but i dont want to concentrate all my mind during a performance on the visuals, that is why i am thinking about an audio visualizer tool, but at the same time, i need to give this tool my own style, i really don?t want to use something pre-designed. i am looking for something that will run by its own in sync with the music, but that i can program and feed my own images... ...i hope im making myself clear. ive downloaded klanfbargen and i think that it is what im looking for, although im not sure. if any of you are using klanfbargen please let me know... i really dont want "trippy" images or psychadelic stuff, i will be happy if i can feed a sofware with my own photographs and let the thing manipulate them whith my music... ...thanks... vicente.

You should try visualJockey R3, it seems to be exactly what you are searching for : a flexible VJing tool, where you can use your own ressources to build shows of sound reactive presets. With a well-built show all you'll have to do is play music and watch the result. Even better, if you introduce a live VJ into your act in the future he'll be able to use that as a source and mix it further.

Yep, visualJockey is the "PhotoShop" of VJing. Just a good all purpose tool. The live aspects aren't to everyone's tastes (though they are for me), but it is great for creating scenes and rendering them for use in other clip triggering softwares like SVi, Resolume, Arkaos or Motion Dive (All top quality VJ wares that you should explore...)

hello hello!
if you are working on a mac, you really should check out videodelic, which is very nice for manipulating pictures, videos or live-feeds. you can prepare presets of various effects and trigger them via midi for example. or you manipulate your material via midi, music and whatnot... i believe, videodelic is a quite powerfull tool. also check out meta-synth....i don't really know much about it but i think it's a usefull prog as well... both of 'em by U&I Software @ www.uisoftware.com the|randelman! |

Yeah I tend to agree.... since you don't really want to play with a UI during the show on the VJ software, your after something that is sound responsive but will let you use your own imagery, etc I think VJo would prolly suit you well (there ain't no live UI to tweek
)
