OK, so I know about mix meister's free bpm analyzer for audio tracks, but what about for those of us with a bunch of music videos? Is there any software that will take various video formats and tell us the BPM of the audio track?

hey guys i wanna move one layer too rotate in the upper left side of the screen, and have 3 other layers in each corner all on auto rotate functions... how do i first move the spacific layers too the corners??

Hi.

I am using Resolume 2.3 and im having problems with my videos. I make my video clips on Adobe Premier and also record straight from Resolume but for some reason when in Resolume i try to use the clips, they dont work. Any suggestions????

Virtual dvd player mixing

Hi guys, I need a simple software mixer, either contiaing 2 virtual dvd decks or being able to send the video signal of 2 software dvd players to a single output window, fading one into the other.I have ripped my live music dvd�s to my hdd and now I want to start the dvd in this mixer and then just select the part I want to play. Anyone know a software package for this==

Hello, I am new to all this VJ stuff.
I wanted to know is there a program that shows different changeing colors.
I will only adjust the color scale and speed.

hey guys, i am running os X on a mac book pro, and running modul8 v 2.6, and i cant get the output going through the projector so i can do the live mixing on my laptop screen. i set the system prefrences too not morror the screens, but i cant work out how too have the outputed image going through the projector.. cheers guys :)

VDMX drag and RAM issues

hi all, i have been using VDMX for about a year now. when i first started out i only had 30-40 clips, and now i have about 2500 (and counting). VDMX really doesn't like the load of clips i import into it when i do a show where i need ALL My clips. when i load in that many, it drags, big time- i can't really scroll through the media library without it stopping the clip. often time i get a warning about RAM use, and i can't use any sort of program (like a bittorrent downloader or Itunes even) while i am working, which can limit me in the future. also, forget about pre-rolling. not possible even in the slightest.
i had just grown to really love VDMX because of the media library, and because i felt that it could handle all of my clips. but as my library grows it seems it works less and less well. also, i rather like the media-bay idea of GrandVJ and NuVJ. if i have a clip that is way down at the bottom of the page instead of going back and forth i can just drop it into the bay.
now, is it possible to customize the VDMX media library wherein you don't have to load your media, but it just works with your browser on your 'puter? if not, is there any way i can avoid this drag and RAM suckage? and if any of you have any reccomendations for new programs to try i am all ears. thanks guys.

mrmr app for ipad: osc sliders behaving weird

the mrmr app for the ipod touch and the iphone works quite well but the ipad port seems to have a few bugs. while the push buttons sending out correct osc values to the server application, the sliders send either 0 or 1. when I touch the slider at any position the corresponding slider in VDMX jumps to 100 %. I tried to scale the incoming OSC message but to no avail.

Anyone know what the "Use sub space manager to sync your mind to arkaos" function actually dose? can't seem to find anything on it anywhere an as far as i can tell it doesn't do anything. Is it just a pointless tick box put there to confuse us?

Isadora 1.3 released

Windows users will have particularly good reason to celebrate the new isadora release, for starters - windows version is now out of public beta and is now considered a stable release.

There are a number of performance improvements in this release. In particular (for windows and mac) a much faster video loader, and an openGL managed stage preview to remove loads off the cpu.

Plus there are some new toys to experiment with, including a 3d mesh projector (which might excite mapping enthusiasts). And this:

Hi there to all,

I'm a DJ working with House and Electro. I'm feeling the need to use a standalone Music Visualizer and i found BeatHarness.

It's realy the one soft or tool that suits my needs but, unfortunatly, the project ended in 2007 and i can't get a nag free version. I don't mind the BeatHarness logo, but that screen telling it's a personal use version Kills me...

I've tryed noise cradle, but honestly i prefer BeatHarness instead.

Anyone could arange a diferent version of BeatHarness without the nag?

I'm feeling kind of desperate, since i have some gigs without a VJ standing next to me and it's dificult to play without any graphics.
