Anyway i have a lot of questions to ask about this event and i don't know how to keep in contact with the staff ....
some questions:
In what type of area will it take places? closed?
Thera are possibilities to camping?
What type of accomodation are u take in consider?

I've sign in a mailinglist but it seems death, isn't??

How i could propose a stuff to avit ?? where i can have the incription module for avit 2005?? i have a great idea to share !

Hi Eon,

the general contact email for AVIT UK vj activities is info AT avit . org . uk

but contact on this forum is at least as good..

The venue is The Custard Factory (http://www.custardfactory.com/) , and Maverick TV (which is just around the corner)./

Performances will take place in the newly refurbed Medicine Bar and Custard Factory (Med Bar is housed within the Custard Factory)..

Unfortunately the time for proposing activities has long passed (For this year anyway) .. our budgets are tied down now, as is room space..
Performance wise, callouts for VJs and A/V acts will come soon - you might want to have showreel ready to send - we are just tying down the nights that are happening the weekend of the event.

In terms of accomodation, camping is not really possible - Birmingham is an urban sprawl, and I don't know of any camping sites within it's confines, although I could be wrong .. it would be possible to camp somewhere in the countryside surrounding Birmingham but it would be a long journey in.

Some accomdation options are available to look at via the Birmingham Tourist Authority (http://www.beinbirmingham.com/)

I will try to find links to hostels etc that might prove to be cheaper that hotels/b&bs listed there.

Public transport within birmingham is good - buses are regular, and run to the City Centre for ?1.10, and the Custard Factory is 5-10mins walk from anywhere the buses might drop you off.

I am creating a workable map of the centre of Birmingham to help people, but it might take me a few days ..
