Amongst the recent rash of press on VJs, the November 2002 issue of IDJ boasts a 6-page VJing feature. I thought the following quote would interest y'all, and make more than a few of you on these boards mighty proud, as you should be. :) The article is by Russell Deeks. Run out and get a copy...

"Other places on the web that are worth visiting, meanwhile, are VJForums.com and VJCentral.com. The former is a message board centre where VJs can swap tips, discuss problems, help each other out with business advice and just generally network and talk shop. We actually spotted postings there by just about everyone involved in VJing that we'd spoken to -- it's like visiting the IDJ message boards to find Judge Jules swapping mixing advice with Darren Emerson! The latter, meanwhile, is its sister site, and is another great place to read software and hardware reviews, product news, advice on techniques, opinion pieces on VJ-related issues and so on."

Awesome, thanks for reposting this :) It is indeed a great description of this site. I think that Russell Deeks is the person who asked some questions here several weeks ago.

What else do they say on the article? I'm not sure if IDJ is sold here.

it's great that traditional press talk about this :-))
but is it possible, that someone scan and post somewhere these article for the foreign VJ who participe to AVIT (by exemple we're french)?
it would be very usefull for us.
we wait for an article in our local news paper about our participation in AVIT, then we will scan/post it since it will be publish.

This is not a comprehensive list, and all of the articles archived there are ones that have mentioned my practice, but it does include the iDJ article, Create Online, and quite a few others. The only one missing is the Mixmag article, which I've misplaced, but will post shortly.

Be warned my site is still being built, but at least this bit is nearly finished.
