could someone project onto, say a cone, straight on and use the angle of area being projected on to make up for the lack of focus. ie the area that is in focus is nearly flat but the tip of the cone where it is out of focus looks focused because of how stretched the immage is or am I just kidding myself and its all depth of feild. I have a ball of used plastic wrap about a foot in diameter that I want to project onto and to many other ideas. sugest away

for my work we project onto all sorts of crazy shapes. You can have issues with the focal plane for sure. Also, you can compensate for any optical distortion by pre-warping your media if ya want. It's cool to have stuff that is straight against stuff that is warped by the surface.
