Hi,
Does anyone know of any
"Affordable PC software for authoring muti-angle dvd?"
What is affordable...well, call it under 400 euros.
And failing that, does anyone recommend ANY PC software for authoring multi-angle dvd's?
Thanks, topher

sonic scenerist (hahaha - yeah right)
multiple angle support is very limmited on the pc as far as i can remember the only thing that does it is Pinnacle Impression DVD Pro and that only supports 2 angles.
the best solution for dvd authoring for less than 1000 euros is apple dvd studio pro and a minimac to run it on

Ok, this sounds like a bit of a silly question, but im not a mac-hed. With the minimac being quite a lowspec machine appanrently, will it crawl like winblows if authoring, like a low-end pc would?

you can author dvds on a 486(!) - media encoding is what takes processor power - as all profesional apps split the encoding and authoring process it is perfectly feasable to encode on a fast pc and then author on a minimac
if you want the intergrated motion/fcp/dvdsp package then you'll need a g5 but to simply run dvdsp pretty much any g4+ will do.

a mini mac and dvdsp would be cool, and just think of all the other features and uses, its not the fasted but im still very tempted by one to offload the compression processs etc from my lappy.
at charlie, it won't slow to a crawl but sometimes i find myself having to be very patient with the interface on my 1ghz pb, final cut interfce is lightening and would rock on a mini, but dvdsp is understandably and noticably slower to respond.
anyone into video and considering purchasing somthing mac then i assure you, you will not be dissapointed with any of there current machines and software. even what you can acheive with a mac straight out of the box with no installed software i find pretty neat.
(and no i dont work for apple or own stock, although i would'nt mind it):yep:
