Hi all,

I'm looking for a simple video triggering program for a mac. Something like they have for audio samplers where you can assign videos to certain keys. I guess I'd need it to go out of the firewire port as well. I'm pretty sure i've seen one before but I've searched and searched to no avail. I dont need any of the fun creative stuff, just a simple trigger.

thanks!
Will

Try the free Stupid Video Player (SVS) (http://www.butaman.ne.jp/~stupid/e/welcom.html).

VIDVOX (http://www.vidvox.net) also has PROPHET which is compatible with many pro video cards so it's possible to trigger broadcast quality video, but costs a few hundred dollars.

Arkaos is the best known clip triggerer and seems very fast and stable on the Mac platform, despite its shakey reputation for PC.

Not sure about Firewire output.

yes, prophet is probably the most responsive for triggering clips. for realtime work firewire is not a viable output solution (processor intensive). use the svid out or vga.
