inside-us-all are organising a club night in Reading [west of London]. We have been stewing on the idea for a while, and the inspiration has come from free parties & club nights which we have been involved in organising for years, and of course more recently AVit, which totally changed our perspective on what a club night needed to be.

To give you a little more detail, the project is a culmination of our last years ideas and work. We wanted to create a club nite that is as much an immersive visual environment as it is an audio playground. The music genre will be thumping psychedelic trance [think Psy drop, Talamasca, GMS, Logic Bomb, Alien Project etc...], although the music is subject to change without prior notice!

The club is relatively small, capacity 350 or so. The night is low budget, but we have a wide network of contacts in the Techno & Psy trance scene who will be helping us out because they wish to work at parties they actually enjoy every now & then as well as the ones they get paid for. Of course if the night does well, the budget will increase, for the first night only travel expenses are being covered.

The first night is on the 13th of december 2002. We have Full Lotus playing [Kundalini, London - huge psy trance night with the likes of Raja Ram, Logic bomb etc], followed by Dark Angel [Running Inna Turtle in Camden and loads of other stuff]. Also playing is ZZbing of oxford fame & Mr snafu - who I'm afraid I dont know much about apart from he comes from London.

At the moment the plan is 5 projectors [3 ours 2 from guests], centre one projecting permenent loop, High-Res [1024x768] Alien type Imagery, two either side projecting live visuals by us and whoever else we tempt along, and the rest of the wall space covered with 'Bubble vision's' mad oil lamp thingys, [he was the dude from AVit with the 'other' lamps].

So yeah, what dya reckon, if you fancy coming along, we would be VERY accomodating.

A friend of ours who is co-organising ProjectOzma runs a daytime hangout and meet some friends type thing in the Purple Turtle in Camden, near Mornington Crescent called 'inna-turtle?'. Before you ask, don't know what the name means either.

This saturday [27th Nov] he has asked us to come down with all our equipment [3 beamers, 2 computers, mixer etc...] and do a bit of a promotional thing for Project Ozma 3 weeks later. We are gonna try our best to block most of the light out of the room, put three screens up, and do our thing.

So if any of you want to come along, just to meet up or whatever. Its a nice environment, nobody has to do any real work cos it's a pretty layed back type thing, just press a few buttons n chat. The whole concept behind Project Ozma was for it to be a collaborative thing with many other V.J's [read waffle above]. So if any of you wanna come and stick a screen up too, and really make the room sing [shine would probably be a better adjective but hey, I'm a techie], you'd be more than welcome. Thanks to Mr Spark and Mr Rovastar for putting in a special guest appearance! Hopefully we'll see a lot more of you at the actual gig on the 13th of December, to watch ourselves, ToddAVinIT, Rossco [DeliberateAnimations], and Rod [BubbleVision] all doing our thing!

heres the directions, so there's no excuse. Also look out for the huge projection of a cyborg outside the pre-party venue in the centre of town near virgin.

in a car [10 mins from M4 J12]

Come of the M4 at junction 12 & take the A4 toward Reading stay with that road going straight on at all junctions until you get right into the centre of reading. You reach an island where straight on takes you into the town centre & left and right take you down ramps onto the ring road, take the first exit [left] onto the ring road, and get off virtually straight away at the next exit. take a left at the island at the top of this ramp, and you are on chatham street, which is the street with the boxing club on, but its on the other side of the central reservation, so you need to go up to the little island and come back on yourself, then the Boxing Club will be on your left, just before the foot bridge above the road. Small looking gymnasium type building, which should have a ProjectOZMA sign on, but that depends what time you get there, and whether we finish it in time!

Come out of the train station main exit. look forward toward the bus station and taxi rank. Walk in that direction down the hill. at the lights at the bottom of the hill turn left, and go back up the hill, turn right at the top of that hill, keep walking down that road (town centre is off to your left) you reach a traffic island go straight over and onto Chatham Street this is the street with the boxing club on, its on the right hand side of this road, just past the footbridge about 200 meters from the island Small looking gymnasium type building, which should have a ProjectOZMA sign on, but that depends what time you get there, and whether we finish it in time!
