We got a little problem with our videomixer. We have no synced output. We tryed a For.a Time base corrector but nothing happened to our unsynced output. Today we are going to try a Ave5 to sync the video so we will inform about that thing.

Does anyone know why this SEG isn't syncing like we would like to see.

Its a really nice mixer exspecially the wipes en the t-bar's

Thx

I just posted a pic with some technical information. I really hope you guys could help me out.

I could post some more pics from the connectors and i'm also thinking about writing a review. But the main problem is that there is nothing to find about it on the internet.

thx

Have you tried using an MX1 as a TBC with it to sync your inputs? I presume this is what your trying to do with the AVE5 (sorry not overly familiar with the unit)

we have not tried an mx1 yet, because we don't know anybody with a mx1.

We are now thinking about a frame syncroniser. I don't know what the difference is about a TBC or Sync generator or frame syncroniser. We tried mutiple setups with the ave5. We are now thinking about a problem/malfunction in the SEG

to test this thing plug 2 sources into inputs 1 +2 of the av5

plug the AV5 record out 1 into input 1 on the sony

plug the AV5 record out 2 into the sync in on the sony

plug the AV5 preview out into input 2 on the sony

you should now be able to mix between the two sources on the sony

Thx alot sleepytom,

It works. At first i couldn't find the sync in, but on the sony seg it's called a GEN LOCK in.

The TBC also works, GEN LOCK OUT from the seg to GEN LOCK in on the TBC. It takes the sync from the AV5. So now we have 2 inputs and a third on the AV5.

We are now thinking about buying a TBC with 4 inputs and a good quality. Because the TBC we now have isn't the best.

Thank you all for your help, i really apreciate it.
