hello to you all vj"s...

I am creating an audio visual-sequance, to a new track published by an music artist called "nova".

my biggest question is about "sampel loops" copy rights...

well, I do create my own visual-footage, shoting, animation and jpeg, loops and etc... an runnig my own live vjing show...
(web site ---soon)...

but sometimes, I want to use a sampel from a real movie...
--- like they do it with audio...

i want to place the real movie-sample on the video track, like it"s used on the audio track.

i know that - when you do it with audio - i"t o.k, if you sample sounds and talks, - as long as you filtered it...

is it the same with video-sample?
or what is the thing you got to do to cancel the owner copy right ?
is it matter of time, like how long you sampel ?

please if some one have an answer... please do..

there are a million+ threads on copyright here on VJF... use the search function more than you use samples and you'll be fine. I condon, but discourage sampling, it's wasted time/effort, ESPECIALLY since you're already working w/ a producer. especially if you're going to release the end result as an a/v single.
