Hello, its funny to read all the software discussion here! It seems to be that noone works with pics!???
I search a program like acdsee32 whitch allows me to to show a picture preset. (slideshow) The prog must have the option to define how long every pic will be shown. For example the current beat is 130, i want to show a pic 0,05 sec. Addsee has this option, BUT using this i have mistakes ( horizontal jumping lines on the screen) and its not a hardware problem, because when i am using the same pics and play them live with arkaos vmp, no mistakes will be seen on the screen!!!!!!!!!!!1
I would be very happy if someone has a hint for me!!

I know the program "Thumbs Plus" will let you input the amount of time in seconds for each pic in the slide show.

I've been looking for a simple slideshow program that will let you input the actual bpm and let you adjust the the timing on the fly...like a simple VJ-friendly slideshow app...oh, and I want it to run on a wimpy PC

doesn't seem like it would be that hard to make...if you know anything about coding (which I DO NOT)

I have a program called iphoto plus which came with my scanner. It has the option to show any number of photos with either a preset delay from 0 to 300 seconds, sync to audio, or manual control.
You could try downloading a trial version off the Ulead site and see if it will do what you want.

visualJockey picture manager ressource effect will let you do this quite easily : put a picture manager node, select the folder where your pictures are, set the picture change dynamic parameter to follow the beat and that's it. Now add some effects underneath, mix pictures together, animate them, and you've got a very powerful version of ACDsee !!!

BWAHAHAHA true.

I might also add that you can do the same thing with folders of images in Resolume.
