All signs that the end-times are coming i reckon.
Everyone assumes that the onset of armageddon will be obvious in the physical world, but maybe the powers that be have decided to save money by doing such things electronically...

And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

"And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six." ~ Revelation 13:16-18
RFID tags come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes. Animal tracking tags, inserted beneath the skin, can be as small as a pencil lead in diameter and one-half inch in length. Tags can be screw-shaped to identify trees or wooden items, or credit-card shaped for use in access applications. The anti-theft hard plastic tags attached to merchandise in stores are RFID tags. In addition, heavy-duty 5- by 4- by 2-inch rectangular transponders used to track intermodal containers or heavy machinery, trucks, and railroad cars for maintenance and tracking applications are RFID tags.

666
...
isn't it wonderful: all we have to do to make this world a better place is get rid of all numbers 666. no need to address any real issues, just focus on those evil, evil numbers!

...the simple fact is, that if you look for numbers like 666 or 13 or whatever else hard enough you will inevitably find them everywhere. that hasn't got much to do with the coming of the beast or whatever other (fear-inspiring) anecdote, but rather with gestalt and the workings of our perception and our phantasy.
i think i understand symbols quite well - that is why i don't submit to rubish like this. there's more than enough real abuse and 'mind control' going on with symbols, language (...'collateral damage' anyone?) etc which should imo be addressed, not such biblical conspy shit. ...but go ahead and make the world a better price by getting rid of all numbers 666 :D ;).
now don't get me wrong. i, too don't like the idea of having a barcode tatooed or implanted in my body - but i would still think that way if it didn't carry any numbers 666!

When thinking of a tattoo design, a barcode was my second thought, after armadillo.
I went for an ASCII(32) sign instead which I still wear with pride.
