Hey,
I need a small projector to be mounted on a ceiling for projecting a logo onto a wall about 6-10 feet away. This is an entranceway and the lights will be on most of the time. Logo should be visible all the time (day and night). Any ideas? Thanks ahead of time.

Get an old slide projector. Supe it up with a bigger transformer & bulb + a cheap computer cooling fan. Then get a digitally reproduced slide.
Total cost should be under $70 USD.

How about something like this:

If the logo MUST be video, I have seen a rear projection plastic that looks like frosted plexi -- but is some new super-scientific material that really keeps the contrast, but I don't know a product name for it.

There are a few of these types around.
Www.optikinetics.com for example.

If you have acces to a Leeko (A standard in the lighting industry) It accepts gobo. And insteed of making a custom made metal gobo Rosco a made a slide projector (Btw, you can print you own picture using a bubble jet printer)

I would call you local lighting biz to see what they could do.

Also check out the martin "imagescans" , can accept 35mm slides (cheap) which can made from any image file in most photography shops.
Nice n bright and ...well they are totally programable as well (x/y axis / rotation / focus)... and normally quite cheap to rent
not as cheap as the leeko though ...

Check out the ImagePro from Rosco also. You can create anything on the gobo when you use their kits and your own inkjet printer. If you get the gobo from Rosco on glass it will last much much much longer though. It goes in a Source4 Ellipsoid and works very well for our applications.
