hi there,

i?m using premiere6 for creating small avi-clips for resolume. which video-codec should i use for exporting? (have the matrox parhelia, 1,8ghz, 256ram) is there a programm (framerate counter) available for testing the performance of resolume while mixing avi-clips with different codecs?

thanks thorsten

I've found the best performance with the midivid performance codec... give it a shot...

MJPEG performs very well(for both encoding and playback), though not quite as fast as midvid performance codec, but I have found that midivid distorts colors. Quicktime can also open AVIs that were compressed with Picvideo MJPEG, which is a definite plus.

I'm not aware of any tool to count the FPS in Resolume... The choice of a codec depends on other factors too, for example how fast the clips can be triggered.
