I think everyones contribution was important in making AVIT (both the daytime stuff and the clubnight) work.
That said, here is my list of people who I would like to give a special mention to. Just an off-the-top-of-my-head list of people I'd like to thank.
* Unjulation (I assume it was you) for sorting out such an amazing venue
* Everyone who spoke or demonstrated during the daytime side of things
* Stevefromnewcastle for great technical planning and tireless commitment to getting everything done right.
* wellREDman for a similar dedication to organisation
* Jimmy (production manager) for the level of professionalism that he showed in ensuring that everything was right and we were okay regarding safety regulations.
* VJ Palumbo for coming all the way from Brazil (sorry we couldn't find enough foreign power converters so you could power all your stuff but your material from one lappie was fantastic)
* Levlhed for bringing his rebelle over from the States and providing enough power conversion for Palumbo to do a partial set.
* Rod and everyone else who brought non-LCD projectors. The slides were a great combination with the video stuff. We're definitely going to get some stills projectors to complement our video rig.
* Everyone who provided projectors, rigs, scaffolding etc etc etc (imagine what the hire bill would be like for everything that we used!!!)
* Everyone who performed - the quality and variety was outstanding.
* Everyone who contributed but did not perform (I think you need special thanks for putting your time and effort and/or money into the event)
* All the folks who promoted the event prior to the day/night and kept the momentum up.
Like I said, this is just my off-the-top-of-my head list - I'm sure there are many others who deserve thanks.
