OK

I've got a play coming up and I need a few quick answers.

From back of stage to audience:
Lantern/Light :: Actors :: Screen :: Audience

What material do you recommend for projecting shadows on to?

Other Requirements:
Colour: White
Size: 4m x 7m

Gauze is too translucent. Heavey drapes are too thick. We have a choice of lanterns i.e. we can spec something powerful.

Thanks,
Alan G

Rosco Back projection screen? Its ?30 a meter for 2.8m wide twin white, they can put virtually invisible heat seams in and it could be "repurposed" after the event. Depends on your buget, should look lovely though!

prefered sales point here in the uk?

sounds good but may let too much through (i.e. colour - though we'll work on this with costume designer).

I though this was going to be a thread about DJ shadow for some reason. :/

You could try Rosco directly but any theatrical supplers should be able to get it, if you need it seamed and gromited rosco do it to order, I got prices this week for it from www.electric-stage.co.uk.
Its probably best to get a sample book to hace a look at, just dug mine out, the twin white, is front and rear surface and is completely opaque, grey is the stuff you find on a fast fold BP screen. The twin white would be fine I think if you dont want colour coming through the grey if you did!
http://www.rosco-ca.com/uk/ ring them for samples
Its very nice stuff!
