which status is the best for a vj who begins ( i means who doesn't earn enough money to live only with vjing ) ,this question is rather adressed to french people as laws are quite differents from one country to an other ,but any suggestion will be appreciated

dunno about france but the usual status of a vj in the uk is unemployed (gives you all kinds of great things like dole money and housing bennifit) its a top laugh to tell the people in the dole office that your looking for work as a vj - somehow they never seem to have any jobs for vjs!

oh so i have the good status as i'm unemployed !well,i wanted to create a little enterprise and get lot of tax to pay !no ,in fact it's because of this : to make a good set ,you need some professional equipement that costs a lot ,if you are a particular ,it's a depens ,if you have a little entreprise this is some invetissement so you may get a little bit money back and have less tax to pay ,professional prices ...,the pleasure to tell the club owner : do the check at koprod man !!,well ,i will try and have more info and i will let you now how it's going
cheers

apart from "unemployed", the other status is simply "independant". where i live you don't need to register anywhere to be independant, as long as you make less than 100'000.- CHF per year (i'm far from it hehe). you just have to pay taxes like everyone, except it's much more complicated :scared:

setting up a business will avoid you to be taxed on the expenses you make which is pretty nice if you have lots of them. depending on the type of company you setup, it can also protect you from losing everything you have if things turn out badly, because as an independant and for simple type of companies, there is no difference between "personal" money and business money. however i think it would be pretty difficult for a VJ to go bankrupt. most of us are broke but we haven't tons of creditors to deal with and we don't have to rent expensive spaces to work. we just buy new material when we have the money.

anyway, don't take my words for it because this is the kind of stuff i'm very confused about :o
